When I came to start the bike, the starter motor wouldn’t work. I stripped, cleaned and re-built it, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. I eventually found a new starter for a very reasonable price on eBay, and so have fitted that. It looks fine, but is of a very slightly more compact design. It’s certainly strong enough to start the engine.
