It seems to me to be important to think about your place in the workforce. Think about whether you’re adding value and whether you could execute your role better. Think too, about your workplace relationships. Are they all congenial, or is there conflict?
Be considered. If you are asked a question and you already know the answer, then it doesn’t make sense to build in a gap before answering, but then again, if you’re not completely sure, then a pause for thought might be sensible. This is particularly true if the question is of the type “What should I do?” There are almost bound to be options, and so leaping to a conclusion may not be helpful. And we do want to be helpful, right?
