Ebel 1911

Ebel 1911

Ebel is an interesting brand – they make very recognisable watches, both with quartz and mechanical movements. The quartz watches are extraordinarily accurate (I used to have one) =, and I think the mechanical watches are also very good. Ebel was founded in 1911 – hence this range, which is still marketed. Ebel describe themselves as “Architects of Time”, and they also use the term “Beauty marries function”. The 5 screws in a hexagon pattern (with the winder) is a key feature. I did buy this watch over eBay, but it was from a reputable dealer and it was quite expensive. I don’t wear it though, because the strap is a little tight on my fat wrists. It keep great time though, and I’m very happy to own it. I don’t know how old it is.
